The applicant's submitted Statement of Community Involvement reports strong engagement: 296 survey responses in phase one and 153 in phase two. The document states that key concerns included parking loss, extra traffic pressure, building height and density, and impacts on schools and healthcare.

It also explicitly records opposition to losing the existing cinema. These points appear repeatedly in the summary sections and in the applicant's own comment-and-response tables.

For local residents, this matters because these concerns are now part of the formal planning evidence bundle and can be tested against the council's decision report when it is published.
