Financial Viability Submission Says No Affordable Housing Is Viable at Present

The Financial Viability Assessment submitted for Southbury Leisure Park states that the baseline appraisal is in deficit and that nil affordable housing is the maximum currently viable level.
The report also says the applicant would enter early and late-stage review mechanisms, with the possibility of higher affordable housing if viability improves during delivery.
For residents, this is a major social impact point: the current viability case seeks to progress a very large housing scheme without an initial affordable housing offer.
